There’s a large gap opening up between the demand for and supply of new programmers, and we believe that this gap exists for two basic reasons. Students aren’t given enough access to programming at an early age, and the subject appears intimidating to most of them. You’re solving the first problem, and we want to help you with the second one.
Enter ‘BrainLab.’ This is our flagship digital education program, over a decade in the making, and available to you for free. The coding games we’ve built into this system are the brain child of two guys with serious programming pedigree: Bill Ritchie, a master of fun puzzle making and the brother of Dennis Ritchie (of ‘The C Programming Language’ and ‘UNIX’ fame) and Mark Engelberg, an Educator, game inventor, and former Virtual Reality Programmer with NASA.
Our BrainLab Coding Program brings three games, and multiple ways to play, together to teach core coding concepts to students through the magic of play. These three games help to ingrain the following skills:
- Sequencing and procedures.
- Conditionals and loops.
- Boolean Logic.
As a BrainLab user, you’ll have access to several different ways to play and learn. For example:
- Curated game modes that teach and reinforce core computer programming concepts in your students like loops, conditionals, and formal logic.
- Access to tournament play, where you can reinforce lessons in your students by allowing them to compete with each other online in time-based problem solving.
- Progress reporting: Your teacher dashboard will give you detailed metrics on each student, and show you the problem types that they struggle with along with those they’ve mastered.
