Oodles of Doodles is Family Fun!

Oodles of Doodles, the Fast Drawing, Use Your Noodle Game, has been named a finalist in FamilyFun Magazine’s Toy of the Year Awards. For over ten years, the FamilyFun T.O.Y. Awards has a history of accurately predicting the hottest new toys because it relies not only on children’s initial attraction to toys, but also on the toy’s staying power. This year’s T.O.Y. winners and finalists were chosen from nearly 500 toys after 30,000 hours of play-testing by more than 1,000 kids.

The awards were announced at a national press conference held at the Toys “R” Us in Times Square in New York City on October 2. The Wall Street Journal describes the T.O.Y. Award as “a laurel as coveted in the toy industry as the Oscar is in Hollywood.” All the finalists will be featured in the November issue of FamilyFun magazine, on newsstands October 14, and on FamilyFun’s website at www.FamilyFun.com.

“We look to FamilyFun and the Toy of the Year Awards each year to identify some of the toys that may be on kids’ wish lists this holiday season,” said Rick Markee, vice chairman, Toys “R” Us, Inc., and president, U.S. Toy Stores. “Having kids across the country test the toys really gives Moms and all of our other holiday shoppers insight into what toys their kids will be asking for this year.”
