Binary Arts’ Puzzle Goes Life-Size!
On April 15, 2002, the cast of MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Battle of the Seasons will face “The Rush Hour Challenge.” The members of the show will participate in a life-size version of the popular game Rush Hour, the traffic jam puzzle that turns gridlock into a game–complete with real cars.
Members of each challenge team will take turns attempting to drive one of the cars to the exit on the game board. Eight other cars on the game board block their path to the exit. The teams will race against the clock to see who can make it out of the mess in the least time without destroying the cars.
“We found the Rush Hour game and we knew instantly it would be a great mind game for our series.” said Julie Pizzi, Producer of the Real World/Road Rules Battle of the Seasons. “Our research team sorts through tons of games and puzzles looking for ideas for our challenges, and when we found Rush Hour, we knew it would make a challenging life-size competition.”
“Rush Hour is a fantastic ‘hand on’ playing experience,” says Bill Ritchie, President of Binary Arts. “When the ides of turning this into a life-size game came up, complete with real cars, we jumped on it. Plus, I’ve always loved MTV. What could be better?”
Tune in Monday, April 15, 2002 at 10PM to see which of the teams make it out of Rush Hour!
