ThinkFun™, Inc., the leading maker of mind challenging games, announced today that Kevin Garton has joined the firm as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Garton will have responsibility for all domestic sales and marketing functions and will be a member of ThinkFun’s Executive Committee. Additionally, Mr. Garton will work with the Executive Committee to identify new opportunities to leverage the ThinkFun brand and product portfolio across a host of potential complimentary businesses such as publishing, electronic games as well as other opportunities.
Mr. Garton, formerly Vice President of Channel Marketing at America Online, a division of Time Warner, Inc., brings with him over 18 years of experience in marketing, sales management and operations in the consumer products and media industries. He has proven success in growing profitable sales through consumer focused strategic planning and implementation of unique and effective branding programs.

While at AOL, Mr. Garton was responsible for brand strategy and communications for indirect channels, including retail and PC-OEM vertical markets. He successfully managed AOL’s brand repositioning in these channels and developed unique advertising, promotion and packaging programs that led to brand growth. Prior to AOL, he held key sales and marketing positions at top tier companies including Levi Strauss, Corning Consumer Products Company and Proctor & Gamble. During his employment with these companies and throughout his career, Mr. Garton has demonstrated exceptional results in the development and growth of consumer awareness and sales in regional, national and global markets, further showcasing his ability to manage and grow successful brands.
Mr. Garton earned his B.A. in Psychology with a Business minor at Washington University in Saint Louis, MO, and he holds an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
Andrea Barthello, ThinkFun’s co-founder and Mr. Garton’s predecessor, will remain actively involved in ThinkFun’s growing business. With Mr. Garton’s arrival, Ms. Barthello will focus on business development activities and explore new opportunities to expand the ThinkFun brand and product portfolio.
