ThinkFun’s New Education Games Make Classroom Learning Fun

For years, educators have embraced ThinkFun, using games to build problem solving and creative reasoning and to spark a passion for math, language and learning overall. Mary Cay Ricci, Instructional Specialist for Accelerated and Enriched Instruction in Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland, is particularly excited about ThinkFun’s new classroom collection. Ricci is conducting a two-year study with ThinkFun games to measure the impact of a game-based curriculum on cognitive abilities, with first-year results showing significant gains in students’ quantitative scores. “ThinkFun’s new math games are in sync with Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice – perfect for the classroom,” she says.

Mastering sight words, the most frequently used English words, is key to becoming a successful, fluent reader. While playing the popular game Zingo!, students learn words selected by leading educators as the most fundamental for reading development.

Spanish-English Zingo! (Pre-K – 1st grade, 2 or more players, MSRP $19.99)

Students learn Spanish the Zingo! way, using cards and tiles with images – English words on one side, Spanish on the other.

MathDice® Powers Practice Edition (Ages 10 to adult, 2-3 players, MSRP $7.99)
